Welcome to the Arrowtown Rugby Club
Located Twenty minutes from Queenstown you will find the historic town of Arrowtown and home of the Arrowtown Rugby Club. Playing from Jack Reid Park, the club has a proud history of playing in the Central Otago and Otago Country Wide Competitions - Arrowtown's Premier Team (The Bulls) have been a competition front runner in recent years making the semis and finals. They won the Central Otago Rugby Competition in 2008, 2009, 2010 and the Otago Country Wide Championship in 2008. They also won the much sought after White Horse Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The Club has a strong and active Junior Rugby Club catering from year one to year 8 teams.
The Club only recently acquired club rooms which were the previous Camping ground facilities at Jack Reid Park. A brand new Community Building, at the Park, is in the process of being built and will encompass other sports as well as the Rugby Club. The Club is well known for having its vocal home crowd support. Home games are large and many families head to the Park. The players form a strong bond and are proud that a small historic town, Born from Gold, can compete with much larger towns in the district. Its about playing rugby and being a part of the Family, so come on down to the Park and Join the Family.
If you are moving into the Queenstown / Arrowtown area and wanting to play rugby or just want to be involved, then Arrowtown Rugby Club has a great community following and have been the front runners in the Central Otago Rugby competition in recent years.
